1 Year Old!

I haven't been the best at keeping the blog updated lately so this post has a little of everything that has been going on here. On Saturday, we had Josey's 1st birthday party here at the house. We had a full house! Josey played extremely hard with the kids here and all the new toys she got for gifts. No surprise that she fell right to sleep after taking her bottle before bed :) This picture is Josey in her fire fighter cozy coupe Brian and I bought her. All the kids loved it but Josey wasn't much into sharing her new car. At one point, Josey climbed in right on top of our 2 1/2 year old neighbor girl. Josey got to eat a cupcake for her birthday. She wasn't very crazy about eating it...she looked more like cookie monster where more ends up in her lap than what made it into her mouth :) I had to give her a mini bath after she ate her cupcake. She decided to smear her face and hair with frosting. Here's a picture of Josey in one of her favorite things, a rocking chair. My sister and her family got Josey a little rocking chair for her birthday. Josey ripped the bow off right away and spent most of the time rocking in the chair when we were suppose to be opening gifts. Notice her birthday shirt she is sporting?! I found the idea on the internet and sent it to my sister to see if she could duplicate it. Like I figured, she did an awesome job! I had to put this picture on here b/c it is so funny. Brian helped me decorate the night before Josey's party. He said we had to decorate Josey's best friend, the deer. Josey points and babbles at the deer almost everyday and sometimes several times a day. Even today, the deer is still wearing his number one earrings :) Quick picture of house part of the house was decorated for the party. These next two pictures are for all of our friends and family that lives in the South. This is what they call "hoar frost". To be honest, I didn't learn what is was called until this year. I absolutely love it when the trees are covered in frost. It is a picture perfect winter day. Brian was playing around with Josey in the shopping bag the other day. She thought it was okay for just a minute and then she had a fit. I was going to put this picture in of our last playdate. The other three kids were all about 1 1/2 years old but Josey didn't let the age difference affect her actions. From left to right, Eliana, Calla, Noah, and Josey.
Here are two videos that I took:
1. Josey talking on her Dora phone. Make sure you have your volume up b/c right at the beginning she puts the phone up to her ear and says, "Hey!" We call Dora all the time. It is one of her favorite toys.
2. Anytime music is on or even if it is something that has a little musical sound to it, Josey busts a move. It is almost like she can't help herself and she has to dance when music comes on. I think she pulls out a new move about weekly.
