In A Nutshell

It has been a while since I last posted and a lot has happened since then too. I don't know where to even start. I apologize for neglecting posting. I've been stressed and not sure how to express my feelings about everything. The month started with Josey's birthday and my grandfather being put in the hospital. Brian drove to Georgia and Josey & I flew down a few days later for a week. We were hoping for a little warmth but instead it was chilly and then it SNOWED! Josey and I flew back on the 13th. Both of us came back sick: Josey a nasty cough and me a horrible sinus infection. Once back in Minnesota, we were met with bad news. My grandfather wasn't doing well. This is hard to say but my grandpa didn't make it. My sister is much better at expressing her feelings through words. She had a great tribute to my grandpa on her blog. I can just say that he was a great man and I hope I leave a lasting impression as big as he did. He was a man that everyone loved. His smile, tight hugs, and sense of humor will be greatly missed. A positive note is that it was nice to see all the family together in one place again. Josey ate up the attention and loved all the kids around. Josey met the older version of herself, my cousin's daughter who's three years old. They have the same hair color and chocolate eyes. To top it off, Riley (cousin's daughter) has a mega personality packed into her little body. Josey and her were two peas in a pod. Josey would follow Riley everywhere and Riley was loving every minute of Josey being around. I had to take pictures of the two b/c I'm sure in 2 years I'll be dealing with the same problems that my cousin is dealing with now. Here are two pictures of the two rascals. You can tell it was warm in my grandma's house by Josey's rosy cheeks.

Josey absolutely loves her bathtime. This is her trying to get into the tub all by herself. She goes crazy when you start the water. She's such a riot! I love her more and more each day :) She can always make me smile.

Josey loved being in Georgia and seeing all the family. She loved having new people to play with b/c she gets sick of playing with mommy and daddy all the time. It was hard to leave like always. I vow to never fly with a toddler by myself again! It is not that Josey is a bad child but that she is so busy it is hard to hold her down to just a foot by foot area. I hate our few and far between trips to Georgia. It has to be one of the hardest things for our family to endure. I don't think Brian and I realized how hard it was going to be living across the country from half of our family. It seems like we never have enough time there. Here are pictures of Josey with her Granny and Papa.

Thanks to the help of Uncle Randy and Aunt Cassidy, we were able to have a birthday party for Josey in Georgia. Josey LOVED her Elmo cake! She dug into the Elmo smash cake too...so much she got a mini bath afterwards :)

Josey loves to give hugs and she found it fit to hug her cousin, Taylor. She's quite the cuddle bug and I eat up every second I can get with her. Josey loved playing with her cousins, Taylor and Tate.

Every stuffed animal Josey got for her birthday, she made a point to hug and kiss them. This picture is of Josey trying to eat her monkey's paci. She still tries to suck on it every now and then.

This picture is one you will be seeing everytime we go to Georgia. This saddle sits in the living room of Wallace's house. The last time Josey was sitting on it was when she was about 8 weeks old. She enjoyed sitting on it and even more chewing on the leather piece on the side.

Again, I apologize about not updating the blog for a long time and for this post being so choppy. I'm still not sure how to quite express myself and not sure how to get back into my routine again. This month has seemed like blur.
