Swinging Queen

Who knew swinging was so fun?! Josey obviously knows this b/c anytime she is outside she makes a B line to the backyard where her swing set is at. Then proceeds to stand next to her swing with her hands up in the air signaling me to pick her up and place her in position. As soon as you start pushing her, she sits back and relaxes. Her other favorite thing to do while she swings is sing/babble. Almost nonstop she makes sounds and if any of the neighbor kids are back there with us making any noise at all...she gets louder :) Here are some pictures of the Queen of Swinging. Nathan, our next door neighbor, was over playing with Josey. It never fails, if we are outside, there is at least one neighbor kid over playing with Josey. As you can guess, Josey eats up the attention. She's a riot! This picture makes it look like it was colder outside then it really was that day. Josey probably didn't even need the jacket but I was a little over protective and made her wear it.
Josey loves to go down the slide too but is unsure when she is attempting to sit at the top of the slide. She starts about a foot back from the top and leans way forward to grab my hands so I can help her sit down. Nathan thought he'd help her slide so he would sit down and I would help her climb into his lap. She wasn't scared at all then. She gladly would run over to the slide to climb into his lap. If you can't tell, Nathan absolutely LOVES Josey! Every time down the slide, Nathan would give her a little extra squeeze at the bottom. Josey, of course, was pushing away trying to get up so she could run around to the steps to slide again.

It has been at least 2 weeks ago but I've been slow at posting. My dad made this dollhouse/bookshelf for Josey. I found the plans on a website that broke it down to simple steps so anyone could do it. I was planning on making it myself but he caught wind of the project and had it all cut out and ready to put together the next day. My mom did most of the painting and my dad added a little extra detail to the dollhouse b/c the plans weren't to an engineers specifications ;) It turned out super cute. I was just surprised at how BIG it was when it was all put together. I never read on the plans how big it was supposed to be. Josey likes it when we put things on the shelves b/c she can clean the shelves off. On a side note, see Josey's Easter basket sitting on the top shelf, she plays with it quite often and many times tries to grab it and go running with it. Running is her new thing when she knows she is playing with something she isn't supposed to be.
