Hi Buddy!

Josey has learned a few new words since my last post. One of her favorite ones is buddy. Now she constantly repeats buddy at times...like when we are in Target walking past people. One lady burst into laughter when I said, "Josey, everyone isn't Buddy." Another favorite is paci. I ask her where her paci is when it is time for a nap or bedtime. It started by me calling out, "OH paaaacccciii" so now she just calls out the paci part :) This first picture you can kind of tell another word she figured out, CHEESE! She doesn't do it all the time but it is super cute when she does do it. This picture is one of my favorites b/c it has her first pigtails in it :) The daycare girls can do anything with her hair and she leaves it alone.
About a week ago, Josey got her first haircut...well, make it her first done by a professional! The neighbor girl is a hairstylist and offered to do Josey's hair. She forgot her cape so we improvised with a garbage bag. Josey cried most of the haircut and leaned against me so I think Alisha did a pretty good job considering. Josey stopped crying/wimpering when the haircut was almost over. It turned out pretty darn cute! She looks like a real grown little girl now. Here are the before pictures with the MULLET :( And then the after shots, when her hair was all wet but you can get the jist of the cut.

We had a playdate with our friends Errin and Avalynn. We met at the mall and played on the little foam play area for a while but Josey started to think it was a game to see how many times she could break and run out into the mall so we decided to try something else. There are about 4-5 little kids vehicle rides. You know the ones that you put a quarter (or 75 cents now!) and it does a soft back and forth motion. Here's a picture of Josey and Avie in a little apple ride. It wasn't in motion during this picture but they were content just pushing all the buttons in the cab. We thought we would see if they liked it when it was moving...Josey not so much. She bailed out as soon as the ride started. Good thing I was standing right next to her b/c I was expecting this from her. Avie just sat down and rode it out. Josey tried hugging Avie numerous times during our playdate. She is very affectionate lately. She gives hugs and kisses quite often. I'm eating it up :) Avie wasn't liking it as much as I do. She pushed Josey away a couple of times. Avie is quite miss independent.

We needed a break from playing so we went to Orange Julius and got the girls small drink. Josey loves fruit smoothies so I figured she would love an orange julius as well. I was right. I think I got about 1/4 of the drink. I'm not sure how much she breathed during her suck down ;) Doesn't she look like a grown up kid?

And finally, Josey is obsessed with the deerhead in our living room. I don't know why but she wants to pet it all the time. Well, Brian thought it was funny to put her on top of it and here she is sitting on it. Brian assured me it was secured to the wall in a stud and a tornado wouldn't get it off. I still wasn't thrilled with the idea but snapped the picture quick and told him to get her down. As you can tell, she was loving every second of it.
