We had our first swim date last Thursday. We were joined by my friend Laurie (Eliana) and Errin (Avalynn). Eliana is very laid back, Avie is quite the little spitfire, and Josey wasn't quite sure what to think about it all. Josey went right into the water until a little boy about 2 1/2 came running up to her splashing the water trying to soak her. She got over it and still was sticking her face into the water and going in about up to her calves. We had a picnic lunch at the pool and ended up being there for about a whole 2 -2 1/2 hours. Josey was spent when we left. I think she was knocked out before I even left the parking lot :) Here are a few pictures that were taking on my friend Errin's camera. I can't help but think we have 3 of the cutest little girls in the Rochester area!

Avie giving Josey her mad face :)

The three girls: Josey, Avie, Eliana. Aren't they just beautiful?!

Avie throwing a fit b/c she couldn't go into the deep water by herself...Josey & Eliana trying to figure out what was wrong with her :) haha

Josey went on her second wagon train this past week. She was in love when she saw the horses. Everytime we got into the vehicle she would start talking about "horsey." Josey really had a special time b/c her Papa was here from Georgia. She was loving up her Papa the whole time he was here. We were sad to see him go. We weren't able to ride more then one day b/c it was raining a lot and Josey developed respiratory problems. We were in the ED on Tuesday for her breathing that was worsening with wheezing and crackling. So we were sent home with neb treatments and 3 days of steroids. She's doing great this week. Here's the beginning of the wagon train heading into camp in Goodhue. This was the last camp.

Josey and her Papa on her Biscuit. Brian untied Biscuit a couple of times and let Josey lead him around while Brian walked with them. She ate up every minute she could get with the horses.

The best picture I got of the week. Papa went to get Biscuit to tie him to the trailer and little Miss Josey had to go with to help. All I can say is this picture is priceless.

Here's the coolest thing that happened to me and I wasn't even there to enjoy it. This is the yearly wagon train quilt. I was in charge of it this year. My mom helped me immensely and it turned out amazing! I have ridden on this train since I was 11 years old and have never won a quilt no matter how much money I put into the drawing. So this year, I didn't have any faith so I only put $13 in the drawing ( $1 a chance). Well I worked on Saturday and that's the day they draw for the quilt. It is the last thing that is done at the final meeting. Josey drew a name out of the bucket and guess who?!?! ME! I won the quilt this year and I am so excited! It means a lot to me. Brian had it on the guest bed when I got home and told me to see if his dad had left his glasses in the room when he stayed with us. I couldn't believe what I saw, MY quilt :)

The story behind this picture. Josey has this obsession lately about dipping her paci into water and then sucking on it. She did it in a bucket of water one day, a cooler another day, and then another day when they were pouring water out of a barrel. She's a nut! Notice her drenched shirt and pants.

Josey loved riding the horses as long as they had a saddle on and even better if someone else was up there with her. This is Josey and Abigail (previous owner's of house's daughter-catch that?). Our neighbors across the street, the Torkelson's (Mark, Ann, Madelyn, Maya), came out to visit one night.

Here is Josey the one day we got to ride on the wagon train passed out on the wagon floor.

This cute ice cream truck comes around Kasson. It is the neatest thing! You should see the kids run down the street when they see the truck and have heard it chiming tunes for the whole hour or two before they have it in their vision.

Josey is working on learning how to use a spoon correctly. I gave her a little bit of yogurt in a cup with a spoon and stepped outside to talk to Brian for a minute. This is how I found Josey when I got back. Yikes! I laughed till my gut hurt :) She had yogurt even in her eye lashes. As soon as she heard the door open to the garage, all she could say was "Uh oh! Uh oh!"

Trying to clean her tray after she finger painted with her yogurt instead of eating it :)
